May. 4th, 2007 10:27 amSomeone once told me that after you die, you are greeted on the other side by those people whose funeral you attended. If this is true, then when I get there, Caitlin will already have the camp laid out, her pavilion up, and be lounging in her comfy chair, waiting patiently for the rest of us. I can't tell you how much I want to believe that.
I mourn her, and all the things that didn’t get created because she’s not here to create them, all the things that didn’t get taught because she didn’t get a chance to teach them, all the people who no longer get to see her smile, enjoy her hug, feel her love.
I celebrate her full life, and an ending that included a house full of people that loved her, and whom she loved. It was a life well worth living.
