When I was little, we only had Amigas... so I played a lot of Nethack, and Pong, and the colored version of Life.

I didn't even know you could play it on graph paper. I have to learn how to do that!

um, no, you don't. Start off a new piece of graph paper for every turn. Check each box to see if the conditions are met to have a life there. Color in the box. Next box.

Next turn...

(And I have a copy of nethack on my computer even as we speak, unless I removed it last cleaning cycle...)

I need to reinstall Nethack. I keep attempting to play an archaeologist without wizard mode or discovery mode on, probably because I'm an idiot. ;D But it's fun. The only class I've successfully played without cheating was a Valkyrie, and that only because I insist on staying at the first altar I find until I get my damn Mjollnir.

I actually sit in boring conferences and play it with handmade grids all over the edges of my notes. Then I color the blocks in to see what kind of patterns I get.

Oh, Ana and I have had a couple of discussions about relationship rules, and finding out what works for you, nd being honorable in the agreed upon bounderies and stuff.

But seeing it person may be a little different.
