No interest in the movie, but...
Date: 2004-07-30 11:11 am (UTC)And my coworkers scoffed at my test driving a Hummer... (I don't want one, I just wanted to see what it was like to drive!).
*bwhahahaha*

Date: 2004-07-30 11:49 am (UTC)For owning, yeah, smaller is better. I love having a car I can park in half the space most people need, and nearly spin on it's access for a U-turn.
I just REALLY like driving. :o)

The Good prize on WOD was Adam West would take you for a drive in the Batmobile.

Date: 2004-07-31 07:47 am (UTC)mmmm the rumble of deisel or straight pipes, yum yum yum....
i want a nice big brawny ford, jacked up a little... big tires...
and i'm gonna be the skinny bitch getting out of it!
an interesting story.... we were driving one day not far from our house and saw this really old truck that someone had totally redone, and it was soooo badass! i don't even remember what kind of truck it was or what year, but it was OLDDDDD... and across the back, custom painted was the word MISTRESS and painted through the words, was the picture of a woman lying on her side, very curvascious... it was SO HOT! i would kill to have a picture just with that truck. since then we saw it once more, and they had put the extra blower thing in the top of the hood, and it was just as sexy and hot as it was the first time we saw it.....
*wipes away the drool....*
but in reality, i LOVE our explorer. that truck can turn on a dime, just like your little cars can. i can do u-turns in regular neighborhood intersections. i can also parallel park it like a fiend. its nice and just big enough that i feel comfortable on the road. i HATE looking *under* other vehicles. that scares the crap out of me. and i have plenty of room for lots of shit and two dogs. i wouldn't trade our truck for anything. well.. maybe a bigger truck.... but you know....
Re: Hummers ...
Date: 2004-07-31 09:15 am (UTC)but the batmobile pictured above does look a bit like a *very* short humvee...
(i once did give a male pal a tiny remote control humvee, with the note: "now i can truly say i gave you a hummer" *WEG*)
